Saddler would have done things to Loma in a boxing ring that Loma wouldnt have thought possible.

I always thought Saddler would be a bit of a nightmare for Lomachenko, who is a slick but forward moving boxer in classic soviet mentality - come forward, bait the attack, respond, turn the angle back to center ring. I think some people have misconceptions about how Loma would use his feet in fantasy matches - when have we ever seen him take a backwards step for more than a moment in his actual bouts? That's not to say Loma doesn't have his moments. I just don't see a way Loma wins against the power, strength and prestige (and 'grappling') of Saddler at 126lbs.

This bout would definitely be affected by the rule-set though, so Rez should've specified. IMO it doesn't look good for Loma under 1950's rule-set, and it is very hard to pick over Saddler's prestige at 126 - a weight where Loma has done very little and lost to the best guy he fought. Of course, 2020 specific rule-set would be different. Saddler would probably be disqualified, which is why rule set should always be specified in a fantasy H2H, due to it's importance.

I do agree with @Drew101 that a win is much more likely at 130lbs though, seeing what Elorde did + Loma being better at this weight class himself.

He primarily fought on the back-foot against Salido.

That being his worst performace and he had immediate success in the twelfth when he went on the front-foot and attacked Salido.

I don't think he needs to. I think he outboxes and beats up Saddler while seeing everything Saddler was throwing a mile off. His footwork, feints, and straightness of his punches is so much better. Saddler doesn't even have a jab and he wings his punches. Lomas also way bigger and stronger than Pep
