Santa Cruz added to Mares vs Moreno Nov. 10th card!

    According to F****news.com Leo Santa Cruz will be returning to the ring sooner rather than later November 10th on the Abner Mares vs Anselmo Moreno undercard from the STAPLES Center in L.A. He will be defening his IBF Bantamweight title for the 2nd time this year against the dreaded TBA, having won the vacant title in June against Vusi Malinga in a lopsided, yet impressive nonetheless decision.

    Also on the bill will be the returning Alfredo Angulo in a 12 round Jr. Middleweight fight against Raul Casarez.

    Showtime does it again imo, with what should be another entertaining and all action card, as Chris Arreola will be fighting TBA as well.

    An ambitious schedule for the young Santa Cruz, to already be making his second title defense, after only capturing the championship in what will have been 5 months earlier in November 10th rolls around.

    With Abner Mares taking a big risk as far as his 0 goes, against the super slick practically un-hittable Moreno. This should make for a tremendous main event!

    What do you guys think about this card now, with the young phenom Santa Cruz added to a already good card? And which card will you be watching (first) now, given that HBO is counter programming with Vanes Martirosyan vs Erislandy Lara & Orlando Salido vs Mikey Garcia doubleheader on the same night?

    Erik Morales Vs. Danny Garcia 2 - WBC/WBA Light Welterweight titles
    Paulie Malignaggi Vs. Pablo Cesar Cano - WBA Welterweight title
    Devon Alexander Vs. Randall Bailey - IBF Welterweight title
    Peter Quillin Vs. Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam - WBO Middleweight title

    In a few weeks and now we got Moreno-Mares/Angulo-Casarez/Arreola-TBA/Santa Cruz-TBA also? Damn I love Showtime!

    Golden Boy and Showtime are really stepping it up. This is what every boxing card should look like. I do wan't to watch the Garcia vs Salido fight on HBO though.

    More clarity in the Super Bantamweight division than we can shake a shitty stick at!

    Daniel Jacobs is fighting on the televised undercard on Showtime Extreme as well, along with probably either Luis Collazo or Dimtriy Salita.

    As do I :good they are easily becoming my favorite of the two premium channels. It really seems like since the new guy has taken over for Showtime's sports programming, the channel has been kicking ass! It really gives me the feeling that they are serious about bringing boxing back to the prominence it once had :happy Hopefully we'll start seeing boxing back on the big networks within the next few years.

    Cruz is still defending his Bantamweight championship as of now, hopefully that does change after this fight in November though :deal

    I will have to wait for the reply of my boy Salido vs Mikey, the showtime card will be too good to wait for replay.

    Yes, they are! Only thing that sucks is that in those Quadrupal headers there has to be one major "unmatch" fight. First it was Canelo vs. Lopez and now Paulie vs Cano. I don't count Angulo because that fight is more of a tune up fight due to his inactivity. But other than that I can't complain. Good fights, showtime is really stepping up their game!

    Not bad, considering Showtime does alot of re-runs of the fight during the week. It will work out! :bbb :good


    Besides, other than Lara/Vanes, who else is fighting on that card?
