Hungarian press reports that Santa Cruz will face Hungarian WBO #3 Zsolt Bedak on the undercard of May-Pac in a non-title fight. I am wondering why makes sense, given that Santa Cruz announced his intetion to compete at 126 and now he is picking a superbantam fighter. Bedak was scheduled to battle Genesis Servania in a WBO eliminator. He faced Wilfredo Vazquez Jr a couple of years ago, put up a decent effort and showed great heart, but sufferred a broken jaw and was eventually stopped late in an entertaining fight. Should be an enjoyable fight and I would not be surprised to see it going the distance, but Santa Cruz should be facing AT LEAST Mares on this card or somebody from 126 top 10. He is getting "Ottked".
:yep He got to taste good money and figured not to risk it. Lets face it, Leo is making more money facing no risk opposition than real champions do/did at his weigh range. 750K for beating up his former sparring partner? Leo will never face a foreseeable threat until someone pulls a Mares on him.
This is what Haymon is trying to cram down our throats. You can smell a crook a mile away and Haymon's day will come after he spends all of his investors money on trash.
