I was kinda' surprised when I had heard Sta Cruz got KO'd.. This Pitalua guy seems like a big puncher.. 46 wins with 40 KO's.. It should be an interesting fight between these two.. Dunno' who'll win, but I know there's gonna' be bombs bein' thrown in this fight..

    This.

Don't forget, this is a guy who got KOed (it was rules a TKO, but easily could have been a KO) by relatively feather-fisted David Diaz, and he was put down by Trejo.

are Jorge Linares and Valero good friends? Both Venezuelan who are based in Japan and about the same weight division.

uninterested is just an excuse. Losing to Santa Cruz just shows how far Casamayor had slipped.

Santa Cruz ran out of gas against Diaz ... he was winning the fight then all of a sudden his production went down and he was getting caught with some unneccessary punches.

I never thought about that.. That is interesting though.. I've never heard anything about them being friends or whatever.. I've never even seen their names beside each other before until just now..

Same stable. Yes, they are friends as far as I know. Valero vacated but made sure that Linares can fight for the vacant belt as Jorge moves up in weight as well...

Call it what you want, but it's obvious the Casamayor who brutally KO'd Katsidis and fought Marquez on even terms for most of their fight, was not the same listless fighter who showed up against Santa Cruz.

Even on an off night an elite fighter should not lose to Santa Cruz, unless he's shot.

I forgot that Pitalua can punch... But i was surprised that he won because I would of thought SAnta Cruz would outwork him... Plus Pitalua been inactive and at the weight class he's in, i also thought age would be a factor..... He's pushing 40, like Casa...
