Perhaps we will see Santa Cruz vs Vargas next.

So does this mean Wood's going to have to vacate his belt? I put the tweet into google translate and that seems to be what the last part is saying, but that could be off or I'm just reading into it wrong. If so, that does seem pretty unfortunate for Wood, but at least there will be a unification bout coming from it. Hopefully so anyways. Its already been three and a half years since Santa Cruz last defended it, and that's pretty ridiculous.

Also there's one more unnecessary WBA belt gone, and that's always welcome. What are we down to now, seven? Hopefully cruiserweight and strawweight are next since those are the only ones where the main champs aren't tied up in upcoming matches or negotiations.

Santa Cruz-Woods would be a good fight, tho i like the Vargas fight better. Im sure if LSC or Vargas wins that fight with Woods would be next in line.
