Plant's jab troubled Canelo for most of the fight and Benavidez has the faster, stronger jab plus the physical strenght and punching power.

 

Bivols masterful jab is underrated. The only punch I see Canlo landing is the overhand right which Bivol has taken from bigger punchers like Joe Smith Jr and walked away from.

 

I understood the next one probably would be dirrel. Maybe I understood wrong.

 

benavidez isnt going to do anything hes unproven more so than plant everyone who fights canelo never use the size advantage which i dont understand starting to think he might have the tyson effect they defeated before they go in the ring lol

 

Canelo's won me over on this. I'm rooting for him only because he's actually using the momentum he gets from wins rather than resting on his laurels.

If Plant won, what would he even do with the new status?

He was boxing better that I expected, but:-
+ Not in enough volume
+ Not withenough right hands / power shots
+ Shipping too many hard shots

To be fair, I only caught it from round 6, but sounds like it wasn't a huge amount different 1-5.

If Plant "boxed beautifully" tonight against Canelo, what did GGG (as you seem to call Lil G) do in his two matches? Yet still didn't get the nod either time.

From what I saw, Plant was still a long way from being as close as GGG with ginge

 

Hmm maybe, but inactivity (deliberate by Eddie Hearn imo) has ruined Bivol's prime.

 

Honestly Eddie is a great promoter if you are one of his "boys" otherwise you get either inactivity (Bivol) or fed to the wolves on short notice like Price(3 weeks Povetkin, 2 weeks Chisora).

 

what troubled canelo was not the jab, was the philly shell.

 

lol Charlo is a 154 pounder with less firepower than Benavidez,Benavidez is rangy very long jab with power and combinations.

 

Does he have the power to stop Canelo marching forward? You need to be able to force Canelo backwards.
