He was mandatory for a unified world heavyweight title fight. You can't get any more legitimate and established as a world level fighter than that surely!?

With Canelo's stacked hand wrapping history, it probably was.

PEDs help you train a lot more. They definitely enhance skills.

You said Canelo dominated GGG. You can't deny the real result of the first fight in any way shape or form either, so you better accept it. You're still quite skewed in your take on it.

Did score this one live, and didn't have much trouble doing it. Definitely gonna get up and watch them - rather than just staying up - more often. Much, much easier to do. Anyway:

You can literally have a complete shut out here if you were so inclined. Canelo looked very good, but what's more is that to me, he didn't have to go through the motions at any time. He just outdid Smith in all aspects, while looking like he could jump up another gear if Smith started having success. You can't argue with this result, but I reframe from saying this was Canelo's best performance. It wasn't. If you're showcasing his skills, and had to only use one fight, it wouldn't be this one. Canelo's been very strong since moving up from 160. He seems to have no issues putting bigger guys who hit harder on the back foot. I like how calm he was in there. The clip where he shakes his head like he's saying no to avoid an uppercut was very impressive, and shows just how relaxed he was in there. I also like how calm he was while attacking and defending, very reminiscent of Gerry Penalosa.

Smith were hard as nails, though. Didn't stop trying, although definitely wanted out of there by the final round. He just took his beating like a man - and as far as I know - hasn't made any excuses. I don't like the idea that he fought stupid, though. It doesn't make sense. Smith fights erratically all the time. He mixes it up at all distances, levels and looks for openings from those positions. He were doing exactly the same with Canelo, but couldn't capitalise on any openings Canelo gave him, and there weren't many anyway.

There is a difference between training hard just to train hard and training smart.

Yes, a high level athlete will benefit more from PED´s as it allows them to recover better.
A bum won´t get any further solely because they lack the skills.

No miracle drug will suddenly help you drastically increase your skills.

Nothing gives you skills like that. But it sure as hell is the reason he ever got those skills.
