I don't understand why he decided to pay a lot of money for these extra pounds and didn't even try to use them? Canelo was fading in the 2nd half of the fight but Jacobs didn't do much. He was much bigger than Canelo but didn't try to wrestle with him to wear him down even more?

I agree, he wasn't hungry. You don't go in there against Canelo and fight like you just want to be competitive. The same thing he did against GGG. He only has him self to blame, because this fight was winnable for him, since Canelo wasn't on his A game. I really wanted him to win, because I like the guy, but he lost fair and square.

You would fight the same way, if in his shoes.

Considering the amount of dough you would get in that offshore account.

I've never seen another grown man, especially someone who spends all his life talking about boxing who post such poor/biased scorecards... I don't think I've ever seen you post 1 decent scorecard... ever!

Maybe that's because you only show up for two to three really big cards a year, you casual sack of dog****. Trying paying attention to someone in the sport that isn't someone your aunt and uncle would know because they have a sponsorship deal. And one other thing.... where are all of your scorecards ******?

His interview after the fight said it all for me, he looked delighted with his performance. Getting backed up for the first six rounds by a guy that looked two divisions lower is embarrassing imo.

    If you want wisdom,
    It's something I got,
    It is what it is,
    Except when it's not,
    It's not what it is,
    That's at issue here,
    Yet what it may be,
    That's a mystery I fear,
So take heart in the knowledge,
    That you cannot dismiss,
    It's increasingly clear,
That it is what it is,

Every post on here is pretty spot on and I couldn't agree more. What bothers me most is that NONE of the punches that Canelo landed seemed to really bother Jacobs and yet he was content to sit back and wait for Canelo to bring the fight to him. No one can tell me that Jacobs wasn't aware that he was fighting the "house" fighter and that he knew he would have to lay it all on the line to get a victory. I HATE to say fights are fixed, but when you use logic in dissecting a fight, it just stinks to high heaven when you see performances like this. Jacob's corner was imploring him to not sit back and wait and Jacobs still looked like his heart rate was that of a fat man sitting on a couch stuffing his face while watching Sunday Night Football. GGG was right. This looked more like a sparring session than a title unification fight.

Just rewatched the fight and Jacobs only won 3 rounds!!

Canelo was in complete control in there!!!
He beat Jacobs in every aspect of a boxing match!

His big fights do resemble sparring sessions. He is so calm in the ring that he lulls his opponents in to sparring sessions.
