Hopefully Jacobs stops him. Can’t see anyone getting a decision against Canelo, no matter how deserving. Even Mayweather couldn’t get a UD despite schooling Canelo.
Canelo hasn’t fought a guy this big who can box. When has Canelo ever outboxed a boxer? Never. Also, Jacobs has added a few dirty Andre Ward moves to his arsenal lately, which I doubt Canelo is ready for. I like Jacobs on points. Which means Canelo 120-108, 120-108, 120-108.
I have a feeling Canelo stops Jacobs. He lands a sneaky fastball punch that catches Jacobs. He drops him , hurts him, and jumps on him with the red waving it off
Tend to agree with this. Jacobs does a few things differently from Golovkin which I think wil trouble Canelo. He likes moving around and using his size; Canelo doesn't like movers. Jacobs punches in flurries and when people let their hands go against Canelo they can hit him. Jacobs also has a sizzling body attack and it will be interesting to see how it affects Canelo in the later rounds. That said, Canelo is a tank and he's proven he can take ridiculous punches without blinking. He's also going to have his moments where he's landing sharp counters and his own flurries. Canelo has a very attractive style and its going to allow the judges to give him rounds. I think Jacobs outlands him and then gets stiffed on the cards.
Jacobs would have to KO him to win. It's a similar dilemma to any boxer facing Canelo, he's a good enough boxer to make it a close fight against anyone (except FMJ) and any close fight goes to him. So it is tough. On how I think it goes, see this going the distance. Close, 2-3 round margin type affair for either guy. Good fight all in all, look forward to seeing it.
His name isn't even Canelo. Canelo is just a nickname that has become his official name. Canelo means cinamon in Spanish.
