its been 15 years almost to the day since Canelo scored a 1st round KO.

I'm not super excited, but fiestas de patrias are here (Mexican equivalent of July 4 weekend) and my wife is Mexican. She already ordered the fight, informed me I should buy some hand lotion if I'm even thinking about rooting for Berlanga.

 

What time is the main card starting, Pacific time?

The McCumby I remember from Probox TV shouldn't have any chance - given to unloading heavily telegraphed barrages with his chin dangling on the centre line as he is. He has regularly gotten timed, countered and hurt at a much lower level.

Who knows though - the Bahdi/Sylve fight reminded us all that respectable amateur background + respectable power always has a more than zero chance until the fight is over. His best attributes as I recall were a large mustache ( + 100 HP minimum ), apparently great conditioning, bodywork for days, and pretty nice off tempo leads and gazelle hook type deals - which sound like pretty useful tools to use against Plant.

He'll need to bring some wrinkles he hasn't shown before if he is not to get countered into oblivion though.
