Typical ESB. A lot of bitching about nothing. I've yet to see a single legit report that indicates the odds of this fight taking place are good.

As far as we all know the negotiations for the rematch are still in place.

I don’t think anyone would begrudge him fighting Spike after the lay off and in any case Spike albeit not out of the top tier but he’s far from being a nobody or a roll over though I do think the same re Canelos countering him.
Don’t agree about him jumping any queue though as he’s highly ranked and drew with Golovkin.

 

I think this will be similar to Kirkland vs Canelo, but will be a bit slower (think Spike will be more cautious than Kirkland) and will last longer.

Spike gets stopped in about 8 rounds but will have some good moments. Think Canelo has a great chin so will take Spikes punches if necessary.
