Typical? Canelo was trying to fight Bivol at 175, which is clearly the most difficult fight out there. Don't make it seem like Canelo's looking for easy fights. You don't seek out the most difficult fighter out there twice in 2 years, at his weight, only to be refused, then explore fighting Badou Jack at Cruiserweight, if you're looking for easy fights. Charlo is still a tough fight. He may have been inactive for 2 years, but he's undefeated and he will be super motivated for this. This will be a good fight you can count on it.

Maybe, but this will get a lot of hype. This could be the FOTY especially if they do it in Texas. They could probably sell out a baseball stadium in Texas. Minute Maid Baseball park in Houston and Globe Life Field in Arlington are both available that weekend!! (Astros / Rangers are away that weekend!!)

It would have been a very good fight if Charlo was in good shape. There in September he will be inactive for 27 months and his last fight was very disappointing.

It will do okay but not as well as Benavidez. Charlo is out of sight, out of mind. Definitely better than Canelo vs Jack, tho. :p:p

This is the 'worst' big name opponent Canelo can get away with so it would be more of a surprise if it didn't happen.

Canelo has consistently sought out the toughest opponents and biggest possible fights out there. His goal is to please the fans.

Bull****. Imagine being a diehard fan of Canelo when Usyk exists in the same era.

This is ludicrous how can the WBC still claim Mall is WBC 160 champ? Then on the other hand refuse to sanction a Canelo- Bivol fight at 168?? The sport is getting to be nothing but a laughing stock.
