    It was like when Mike Tyson fought Buster Douglas, I figured that Tyson would blow him out easily like everybody else. Then lo and behold Tyson got Kayoed in round 10.

    I didn't even realise Gvozdyk was coming back. Or should I say, now I've checked and can see he fought earlier in the year, is back.

    Not quite Sergio Martinezesque, but at 36, after a 4 year hiatus, seems a strange one. Unlikely he will match, let alone surpass, what he's already achieved. Though I suppose I don't know his financial position or his other career options.

    I don't understand why Gvozdyk took four years off at the height of his prime, and all he's done since losing to Beterbiev is spar for Canelo. Is there more to that story? What I suspect is that he got injured or hit the bottle and will come back a shell.

    That wasn't a real match, more of an exhibition. They had no weight limit. It was only 6 rounds and the guy he fought had a 20-34 type losing record.

    There were some concerns after the Beterbiev match, he got pretty badly concussed, and initially I heard that he had bad bruising, but haven't seen anything about that since. Then Gvozdyk, who's smart as hell, retired to pursue "business opportunities." I guess they didn't work out as well as he was hoping.
