He leanded right into it as well, ****ing tragic, he was styling on Canelo
The moment was to big for him.
Thats too bad Saunders looked to be taking over the fight until that uppercut.....
Told you mate
No...no he wasn’t lol.
Now they **** on Saunders in the post fight interview.
And body, and head. Which hurt BJS, which is why he capitulated.
This fight was EVEN on my scorecard after 8 so BJS had Canelo scratching his head IMO
BJS's body language changed completely after he got tagged in the 8th.
Personally, I think he was probably going to fade anyway, but I won't fault him or his corner for calling it a night after his eye closed. Some fighters have gone on to win with one working eye, but it's a severe enough injury that a retirement is warranted.
Saunders wasnt at his best. his legs were good but they are usually great
Saunders didnt do bad but got outclassed. His powerful body shots beat Billy Joes pitty patting all day long. Billy Joe won one round clearly, maybe 2 other rounds were kinda close, but Canelo was beating him down and the stoppage was inevitable.
If he wanted a rematch he should have started with finishing the first match.
With this win Canelo breaks Mayweather and Holyfield's record of most world titles won with 12.
Anybody hearing anything about the scorecards?
It was a great uppercut...too bad it.ended i was getting good
