I'll have to go for Saul Alvarez on this one and I actual have a reason for voting for him. It is because the achievements he has made during the years and experience as professional boxer, waaay more experience than Joe Saunders which is obvious. Cinnamon fought many that challenged him A LOT. Joe fought people who were good, but not at the world-level Canelo has been fighting. Power would be on Canelo, Speed maybe will be both on Canelo and Joe, Aggressiveness will be on Canelo, Defense will be both, and Intelligence will be on Canelo. I think Alvarez will win based on my research, Saunders doesn't really have many fights.

 

Canelo has knee problems too. That's all the result of all that high impact training to bulk up and to build his core and legs up as he moved up in weight.

Look at his style now; his footwork is very slow and its one step moves. He relies on his upper head movement and feints to get out of range and to counter. His volume has also decreased significantly too. Before the Mayweather fight and up to around the 1st GGG fight he was a natural counter puncher. Then he became a pre-emptive fighter. It was an amazing transformation.

He is a slow pressure counter puncher now who has mastered backing his opponents up and setting traps.

His ring IQ is simply awesome; even if his body has been chemically enhanced.

 

He hits hard enough to get your attention and to keep the opponent honest. That's all you need; to win the rounds.

No one makes him out to be a one punch killer but perhaps some guys trolling you to see you spazz out, that's just you're insecurity.

Canelo is an aggressive power puncher when he chooses to be which has been more often than not.

But yes, he is heavy handed for sure.

Also, he has been fighting fairly high level of competition, so it makes sense that his fights often go to the cards.
But whenever he does fight lesser opponents, his power is evident.

 

The chances of BJS stopping Canelo are very low, he will not get a decision no matter how well he does so a Canelo decision win is inevitable. I think it will be a good close fight but Canelo will prove to be too good.

 

Nah, he only did that against hollow boned Amir Khan and that walking vegetable James Kirkland.
