    Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán, commonly known as Canelo, is the greatest trick the devil has ever played on the boxing world. His entire success has been predicated on his unique appearance. Lookin' like Opie or any number of poorly drawn, red headed, and freckled characters in childrens books! :rofl

    Canelo is somehow a cash cow for doing absolutely NOTHING. He barely got by Austin, Erislandy, and Miguel (many have the ginger losing to all three). Canelo feasted on shot fighters (Mosley, Kirkland, Angulo) and Salvation Army bell ringers (Jose Cotto, Rhodes, Hatton, Cintron, Gomez). :patsch

    Just how much of a joke is this dude? He has completely relied on being the much bigger fighter, yet refuses to fight Gennady Golovkin at 160 despite the fact that he will come in heavier on fight night! And picking on Amir Iqbal Khan is just as disgraceful as the creation of his very own division! :twisted:

    Canelo is not THE MAN AT MIDDLEWEIGHT. Canelo isn't even in the Top 6 at Middleweight as I have Korobov, Lee, Lemieux, Saunders, and N'Dam all gently parting his cheeks before giving it to him prison style! :deal

    Dudes, Canelo isn't even the BEST Junior Middleweight!

    He is a joke and GBP are a joke that are making a mockery of the amazing sport of Boxing. He is a Welterweight that is so fat he can easily make Super Middleweight but has the power of a Welterweight and the stamina of a fat man and just cant make 147. Hell i bet he struggles with 155.

    Amir Khan is a cherry pick gone badly wrong. All Khan needs to do is stay focussed, fight at a smart distance and keep the pace high and Alverez will fade big time. If you remove the sublime quality of Joe Calzaghe this fight will be remeniscent of Calzaghe v Lacy.

    Not sure i really believe that last bit but COME ON AMIR KHAN.

    Yep. IF Amir Khan wins, it's more because Canelo sucks than Khan being good.

    Now I don't like the kid mainly because he's a massive weight cutter but even in one's wildest imagination to suggest that he's done "absolutely NOTHING" is outright ridiculous.

    Saying Canelo has done nothing is playing into a myth.

    He is only 25. You think he's overrated because he's been in the limelight for so long, fighting on national TV since he was 19.

    Compare his resume to the Charlos, Julian Williams and any other prospect. Errol Spence is already 26, Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua are at least 24 and haven't accomplished anything in the professional ranks like Alvarez has.

    Let's look at someone like Felix Verdejo (22). When Canelo was around that age (23) he had twice as many fights and fighting Floyd ****ing Mayweather.

    He soundly beat Austin Trout, the No. 1 JMW, which people wouldn't have a problem with if it wasn't in Texas and the scorecards weren't so wide. He chased down and edged Erislandy Lara, who called him out at a press conference like a ***** and who no one wanted to fight. And he defeated Miguel Cotto, the lineal MW champ.

    At 25. Give it a rest.

    Beat Austin Trout who beat Miguel Cotto. Beat Erislandy Lara who beat Trout. But OK, let's call J-Rock the best JMW because he just knocked out Luciano Cuello—who Alvarez beat six years ago.
