Way to sit on that high horse

You had an issue with the bookies having Hunter as the favourite. You then made the case why Hunter is actually the favourite...
And yes, how people bet on fights affects the bookies. They actually care what you and and I think(meaning how we bet).

I think these guys are close to the same level. I slightly favor Hunter because he is younger with less miles on the odometer.

Still, being the degenerate that I am I will have some money on old man Povetkin. I don't think Hunter should be this big of a favorite. You make is closer to pick-em and I wouldn't touch it but at these odds I think Povetkin is worth a punt .

Hunter should be the favorite. Can you imagine after this 4 Americans in the top10 at HW? It's like going back in time!

I didnt like the way Hunter was reacting to Kuzmin's punches. I know its not a well thought out analysis but I' kind of questioning Hunter's ability to mix it up with a real hitter at heavyweight. Until then I am very skeptical. Povetkin is old but can still get the job done and separate the real contenders from the rest of the bunch. I think he beats Hunter

Potevekin was never really considered a big hitter throughout most of his career.
He produced some eye catching kos late in his career when most men are winding down and losing ability.
Whether that had something to do with his incredible physical condition during that time period and questionable drug results, we may never truly know.

That's pretty much on point. I mean he is coming off of looking like hot garbage against Wach, Rudenko, Hammer and Hughie, being violently KO'd by AJ and almost getting stopped by David Price. Hunter on the other hand has looked like a million bucks since losing to Usyk.

Hunter arguably shut Kuzmin out and knocked him down. Povetkin looked like dog crap, gassed after 3 rounds, barely landed anything clean, did a terrible job cutting off the ring and didn't beat him nearly as impressively as Poolev. Also he didn't come close to knocking him down.

I think Povetkin would have struggled with him back in the day as well, a similar manner to thw Chambers match.

I rate both of these fighters very highly. Up untill Povetkin fought AJ he had the second best resume behind AJ in the dvision. Povetkin is a very good combination puncher and it's between Povetkin and Whyte for best left hook in the the division. Seems to be on decline since the Duhaupas fight.

Hunter is the most talented American HW in the divison. Hunter has good movement, variety of punches, combinations, tough, good pressure fighter that fights at high tempo from the get go and finishes opponents effectively when they show weakness. That said Hunter can get sloppy and hittable as proven in the Usyk, Bakole and Kuzmin fights.

I am looking forward to just as much as the main event.

On the flip side Hunter has a style that will give even a faded Povetkin a good chance here. That said Hunter is younger, has more momentum behind him and a solid operator to boot. So the odds are fair but the old dog should not be counted out altogether. From what I know about Hunter and how he operates behind the scenes he and his camp are taking this one very seriously.

In his prime Poverkin struggled to beat Marco Huck. Unless you mean his steroid cheating prime.

Alexander Poretkin had no prime. He was a average looking fight who struggled again Marco Huck and got ragged doll around the ring by Wladimir Klitchko. Then he got juiced on steroids and look better against extremely low level guys. Wait I know. Povetkin looked amazing against Eddie Chambers when he landed 201 punches out of 929 punches compare to 197 out of 398 punches for Chambers. Yeah he looked so good missing the vast majority of his punches.
