Saturday Fight Night: Simpson downed/Burns shows huge nads and does Scotland proud!

I reckon a good night for Mr Nelson.

Burns and Simpson both by decision.

 

Thought this started at 8 for some reason, gutted now

Martinez to win in the middle rounds should be a good fight.

Simpson to come on strong in the later half of the fight and pull a close points win.

 

Burns can exploit the many weaknesses in Martinez game if he's brave and bold! He cannot do some of things he did against Gomez defensively. He just cannot take risk of riding back with chin in air...but if he can draw Martinez lead by using smart fients he can maybe catch Martinez on way in and shake up the champion.

It's a hard ask because for all the weaknesses Martinez has he equalizes that with his power and crude effectiveness. He can box a bit but not to a sublime level.

Ricky's tough kid who has the will of a nation behind him. I hope he pulls it off...wouldn't write him off but it's tough ask...performance of his life is needed.

Simmo to win for me. Provoke the dog and the dog will bite back and Simmo will be relentless in his pursuit and i can see him halting the brave and valiant young pup Smith round 9 Tko...ref jumping in to save him on feet.

Anyone know if both fights are live or just Burns/Martinez?

 

Sorry this has probably already been covered but are we getting full live coverage of the undercard? Appleby/Arthur/Simpson

 

Not to sure mate I think we see the full two title fights then pretty sure we see the lot with it being a two hour show.

I just looking through Ricky's record and compared to some of guys Martinez has fought. I think were bit harsh on Burns..he's actually a step up for Rocky from his last opponent.

I'm more amped for Simpson-Smith. Could be a barnburner.

As a kid i grew up living for saturday nights. Dreaming that one day i be the guy with titantron behind with highlights of me sparking guys and loud sound effects,blaring music and fans booing/cheering etc. I'm so glad Boxing's back where it belongs.

Yeah i totally agree. We've all grown up with Boxing on Itv/BBC on Saturday nights. Plus a nice start time helps. Friday Fight Night Always Felt Cramped and Rushed.

 

Ok cheers, should have noticed it was only 2hr show. Getting excited now, first time in HD for me too, just need some lager now.
