I suppose we don't really wanna be shouting and posting War Burns???....Don't think many feel safe with Ricky being close to Martinez bombs. Have to be Dance Burns!!!!

Martinez TKO 6. This is a massive step up for Burns. Martinez is possibly the best Super Feather in the world. While he is a bit crude, his power is definitely an equalizer and he is quite effective as Mandanda said. He finds the target and he will find Burns, although I expect Burns to give him a few problems early, but ultimately won't be able to deal with what Martinez brings. TBH I don't know why Burns has got a shot at the title, but good luck to him.

As for Simpson-Smith, I'll be the first to admit I know very little about Smith outside the fact that many on here speak highly of him. But I think this fight has come a bit too early for him, going on his record, and I'm expecting Simpson to apply the pressure as he does and wear down Smith for a late stoppage in a competitive and entertaining scrap. Not a great way to pick a fight but I'm just working with what I've got. Simpson TKO 10.

    Agreed.

This is a huge step up in class for Burns, even though Martinez isn't all that.

But then again, Rendall Munroe diffused another banger named Martinez pretty easily

Simpson is the most underrated fighter in the sport I think, he'll be too much for a young Smith, but big credit for taking such a fight as early as he has.

come on ricky . Hope he gives a good account of himself , Nicky Cook gave Martinez a tough time for the first couple of rounds before he got dragged into a war and stopped maybe Ricky can do something . Hope so .

I've stopped drinking the JD coz I'm feeling nervous. So I'm on to the bottles of Sol now. £2.99 for 4 in Lidl! Get in. Four packs bought.

Anyhoo, my son's in bed the missus has joined me to cheer Ricky on in the comforts of our living room.

Any noise from the neighbours and I'll be on the news :fire

Ricky needs to settle early. He has to set the tone or he's in **** street. He needs to get middle of ring and assert the jab. Walk Martinez on to shots. I truly believe he has a chance but only if he's brave and bold. Running all night will not do him any favors. He has to mix it up. Work off back foot then at times go to work on Martinez body and then pump jab in his face. Can't give up loads of room and waste legs running.

On Warren's site it says Simpson-Smith is scheduled to start at 9.05 - bit like FFN then, not much fannying around at the start and straight to the live fight. Simpson-Smith is going to be a classic!!!! :bbb

    British boxing is back :happy
