Haye with his indecisiveness if and when to challenge the Klitschkos in the ring and the general disappointment and embarassment of the Harrison hype-match has left the door wide open for a new boxer to take over the #1 spot.

Froch may just be that man to take the torch from Haye. He's brash, fast talking, talented and has enough star appeal to generate tabloid headlines for years to come. I guess his model fiancee/wife doesn't hurt his marketability.

Froch needs to dismantle Abraham on Saturday and then IMO he has a good chance of become the #1 boxer from the UK and leave Haye behind him. If he loses he's done IMO.

I think in the interests of fairness I'm going to support the ugly German/ Armenian in this one.

Bit extreme. If he wins superstardom, if he loses obscurity. Win or lose Froch will have other chances to shine if he wants them.

The problem with Froch is that he isn't gettin the exposure of other fighters around at the moment. Even if he destroys Abraham, I doubt his profile will go up that much. There will be very little attention given to this fight in the papers at the weekend which we all know is a disgrace but thats the way it is.

Froch has to be No 1 based on the quality of his opponents.

Khan will probably overtake him soon and Haye isn't close based on the quality of his opponents.

Froch has incredible fights vs Pascal, Taylor and Kessler. This fight might add to the list. He needs to ditch Hennessey now because he simply cannot deliver like he should. Every person in the country should know his name not Fraudley or Gaye.

Whats the chance that they wont even give this fight a mention on ringside this week. Disgraceful really.

If he sticks to a gameplan and boxes him at distance for 12 rounds he'll take the decision and demonstrate he is right up there in the division and will surely make him the no.1 Brit fighter
