Saturday nights Matchroom/Blackpool show very average?

    I won 2 tickets for this but due to the fact I will be working until about 2ish on Saturday I have decided not to go because I can't be bothered to make the 2 and half hour journey to Blackpool to watch a decent but fairly average card.

    Now a couple of years ago on a Friday night a fight card like this would of been fantastic but considering Sky haven't shown any boxing for 3 weeks I think its again a poor card.

    Rose v Alcine isn't a great bill topper and Selby's opponent is awful. He's only fought one person with a winning record and hasn't knocked anyone out.

    If Sky and Matchroom aren't going to show more boxing then the quality when they show it has to be better and quite frankly it isn't that good its only ok.

    Considering this is a prime time Saturday night show on Sky Sports I think its a poor card. Where are these big arena top quality fights that Matchroom promised us?

    Didn't know I was working at the time of winning the competition but I need to work for the money so work takes preference. I would offer the tickets to somebody else but Matchroom don't send them out in the post. They have my personal details and I have to collect the tickets from the Matchroom collection point on fight night with a proof of ID.

    In fairness it is a terrible card, only worth watching if you are a diehard fan of rose or Selby which i'm not.

    Did you really need to make another thread having a pop Matchroom when there is already a thread discussing the two show on saturday.It`s far better the most friday night shows of the past and is a decent show,you will have to come to terms that boxing on Sky will be every three weeks and they are never going to show a card a week again.

    The test will be next year now he`s building his stable,most of his shows will have to better then this if he wants to guantee that Sky will renew his contract but i think it`s a good little card showing boxing at differant levels from fringe world level to an area title fight featuring to unbeaten fighters

    If you think this card is terrible you haven`t watched much domestic boxing this year,it`s not a big show but it`s decent.

    At least tweet or contact matchroom saying you can't make it now so someone else has the opportunity to win them.

    Nah most people will be watching Tyson Fury I reckon,it`s the most intersting fight involving a brit at the weekend imo

    I think it's a fair comment that it's not delivering what he set out for,Rose is an tv undercard fighter to froch,groves,burns,brook, frampton etc.

    But Hearn thinks there's good chance of Blackpool taking off with Rose,cradle,askin,arnfield etc.
