Big fan of the fight game, massive Floyd fan and love the Pac Man as well but if there is one thing that Saturday showed it's that Floyd Mayweather Junior is the best boxer on the planet!

I always suspected he would deal with Pacquiao quite easily and now I know for sure he would! Nothing in Pacquiao's game could deal with Mayweathers skill set and I now don't even see it as a competitive fight.

Mayweather is everything Marquez is multiplied by 5 and for Pacquiao to have any chance against a laser fast counter puncher like Floyd he would need to catch him cold, clean and repeatedly.

For the record I had Juan Manual Marquez winning Saturdays fight by 3 rounds and thought the decision was disgusting. Pacquiao, Roach and Arum all thought he'd lost!

Boxing disgraces itself again i'm afraid!

Funny. I didn't see floyd fighting anyone this past Saturday. So I have no idea how that proves anything about him.

    Agreed!

Cant look that pathetic and horrible against the #5 fighter in the world.

Laughing joke if this guy stays the #1lb 4 lb fighter in the world..floyd should have that spot as he was n the 2 spot (ring rankings are legit!)..

Floyd the new # 1 lb 4 lb fighter in the world!

Let me rephrase, and this is in no way a hate Pacquiao thread because i far from hate him, i'm a big fan!

STYLISTICALLY.......Mayweather is everything Marquez is and more, he is faster, has better feet, better hand speed, has a better right hand, counters better, shows different angles, is taller, has a bigger reach, controls distances better and is a better boxer!

Manny Pacquiao struggles with Marquez show me (and most other prominant boxing writers, for reference see Rafael, Iole, Smith, Crawford and Thompson) that he would be in for a long night against Floyd.

Freddie Roach "Manny struggles with counter punchers, we have to get better)

And i think you will find that Pacquiao IS going to get replaced on MOST pound for pound lists this week....so perhaps it doesnt matter that Floyd didnt fight this week, perhaps Floyd didnt need to fight to persuade people he's the best!

Isn't Floyd retired? Let's put Ali on the P4P list while we're at it.

Yes he will, most writers now agree that Mayweather is P4P #1.

If he stays active then he stays #1.
