:happy Sydney presents a great day of racing tomorrow from Rosehill Racecourse which includes the world's richest race for 2yr olds...the Golden Slipper !!! :happy

While the track will be rain affected there'll still be plenty of top class thoroughbreds going around in the nine race card which includes four Group 1 events.

The first of these, The Queen of the Turf Stakes (Race 4) commences at 1:05pm followed by Sydney's premier staying event, The BMW Stakes (Race 5), which will see last years Melbourne Cup winner VIEWED take on Theseo who will be a certainty for horse of the year honours should he sucure his 4th Group 1 of the season.

Race 6 is the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes which is arguably the hottest race of the day. Almost every runner in the field has won at Group 1 level and at WFA (weight for age) you usually find the best horse wins.

The last of the quartet is the G1 Golden Slipper which sees the top class 2yr old colt Real Saga battle the star filly More Joyous. While both 2yr olds have huge "booms" placed on them by the racing public you can still get 3/1 for either such is the uncertainty over which youngsters will handle the soft tracks.....and hopefully I can steer some of the punters here in the right direction. :hat

Here's my tips for the main four races...

In a very open race there is great value if you can find the winner. Hot Danish and Forensics are the two favourites but I'm looking outside those two as they don't handle the soft tracks as well as some of the others.

Viewed won the Brisbane Cup 9 months ago on a heavy track by six lengths and looks to be the best bet on the card after winning the Melbourne Cup not long after his QLD win. That said there is a smokey in the field in the lightly raced NZ stayer Mr. Tipsy who has won 6 from 11 including some big wins on wet tracks. His last start was a 2nd in the Auckland Cup. Other dangers could come from the Victorian visitors in Master O'Reily, Zagreb and Zarita.

-A red hot field with recent big race winners All Silent and Light Fantastic taking on gun 3yr old Whobegotyou in the race of the day. If you are betting race by race it might pay to keep an eye on the betting flucuations regarding 2007 Australian Cup winner Pompeii Ruler who is returning after a 10 month injury enforced layoff. Be sure to throw Sarrera into any quinellas or trifectas.
