All British mc's are crap, Michael Pass is the only one i can listen to without sinking into my chair with embarrassment.

 

Rob, the guy that did the sheffield show was Craig Stephen. For some reason he only did the show opener on Saturday, the Grant Reid fight, and he was spot on again. A lot of people won't have seen that cos it was on at 9pm.

The other guy was feckin useless, don't know what happened to Craig Stephen because I seen him ringside during the Haye fight.

WTF Hayemaker, you've got the best MC in Britain there, use him FFS.

 

A few years ago I read it somewhere that Buffer was on $50k an event.
Wonder how much it is now.
Really if you bought a boxing dvd or tuned into a ppv you would expect it to be Buffer for a top fight. Its like a seal of approval.

 

All British MC's that you've seen are crap, jc! You just can't have seen Craig Stephen and said that.

He's only done two tv shows, Hayemaker from Sheffield last month and the show opener at the O2 but he's been doing all the shows in Scotland for years, I've seen him loads of times. He really is top drawer and interacts with the crowd. Put Pass and him on the same bill and you would soon see the difference.

Just don't get why Hayemaker didn't use him for the main event, maybe he took ill?

 

He was trying to impersonate Buffer at times - it doesn't work, and it was a bit lame! If their going to have a British announcer going for it, they should play on the British element, perhaps "Lettttsssss 'ave it!!!!" or something similar, in some Cockney twang (or any 'ard British accent) ... or maybe not, lol, ... at least it would be better then a half arsed Buffer impression.

 

If you guys thought he was bad you should listen to that idiot Bruce Buffer from the UFC. He`s the most shittest Master of Ceremonies iv ever heard. Absolutely ****ing dreadful. As for that bespectacled rookie i honestly dont know what that clipboard was about..

I don't suppose it REALLY matters. having said that John McDonald is by far the worst with that stupid breathless growling he does. I've heard that he's meant to be a right twat as well!! He certainly sounds it!!!!

 

Can't remeber his name, but this small Scottish MC's who has worked for Hayemaker promitions before is good, he might have done the undercard to Haye's fight but im not sure because i didn't watch them. He MC'd my first amateur fight .

 

I dont mind him, I think he takes a while to get used to though. I was like what the **** is this at first but after a while it's alright, or maybe ive just become tolerant of it rather than actually liking it.

 

Lets be fair. We are talking about nationally televised fights that have from hundred of thousands to millions of viewers. We aren't talking about small time local bills. Promoters like Warren and Hennessey should have master MCs just like Buffer and Lennon.
