I hope Kessler doesn't retire I've grown to like and respect him over the years. Alot of good fights can be made with him.
I think Kessler still has fight left in him but not at super middle. I think hes too tight for the weight. Hes huge and has been at world level at this weight for 10 years! I think a catch weight with Froch as I dont know how strong he would be against the light heavies. If he was allowed another 2 or 3 pounds against Froch he beats him again.
Kessler-Golovkin in Denmark would be awesome, unfortunately I don't think that GGG would consider that until next year. The winner of Steiglitz-Abraham would be a safe fight that would earn Mikkel some good money and probably be enough to motivate him as well.
Would be a PERFECT time for Andre S.O.B Bored to fight overseas against Kesseler. Ward could silence his critics by going overseas but in effect it would be a cherrypick against a guy in massive decline. Only downside would be the taxes. Denmark no doubt taxes you even worse than California. Ward would still face the potential issue of drawing a ref that would not let him foul at will.
Considering Kessler's level of decline it is a perfect fight for anyone except Kovalev. If it was Kovalev, I would fear for Kessler's immediate and permanent well being.
