Who else would stand a chance? Green? Bika? Andrade? Please. They might pull an upset against someone, but there is little chance they would actually pose a threat to win the whole thing.

Pavlik being omitted is hardly a crime since 1) He's expressed very clearly he would not be interested, and 2) Unlike Abraham, he had not announced IMMEDIATE intentions to contend at 168.

As far as fans buying into the hype, most fans are just excited to be guaranteed a bunch of quality fights between MOST of the top guys at 168. It would be very hard to argue that whoever comes out on top of this tournament isn't the best SMW, given the number of top 10 opponents they will have to beat in order to win.

To call boxing fans pathetic for looking forward to a series of great match ups makes you come off like you've got a mouthful of sour grapes, when most of us know you're better than that. It sounds like you've really let this anger toward Abraham and his nuthuggers cloud your thinking toward the sport at this point.

it is all for Kessler. How else can he possible avenge his loss to Calzaghe? Hopkins wouldnt fight him. His legal issues... and all of a sudden he is back in the mix and we have one of the greatest events in boxing history.

Absolutely shocking! The vast majority of boxing fans are really looking foward to this tournament with its mix of champions, ex-champs and prospects.
Its not perfect, Bute should be in there and Dirrel is possibly too green. However your running it down solely to make your boy Pavlik look better.
