Sauerland: Winner of Magee vs Markussen meets Andre Ward!

I really dont get why the Bute-boys put any blame on Ward because of this??

This is a statement from Sauerland, simply stating that the winner of the Markussen-Magee fight is mandatory to Ward, and therefore is in a position to fight Ward for the WBA title according to the rules of the association.

 

I thought Anthony Dirrell was his mandatory...?

 

Maden - what about Balzsay? "Regular" champ. Why not a shot at him instead?

Are you saying the WBA actually enforces their own rules, and do they have actual rules regarding Interim/Regular/Super champs facing each other?!?!?

Yep I forgot about Balzay... As I recall he is injured at the moment, and has an agreement on fighting Sartison (Balzsay got the titleshot because of an injury to Sartison). If that is indeed the case Magee is the next on the mandatory list.

 

But I really dont know the rules well enough when it comes to Super champions!

The winner of Magee/Markussen vs winner of Sartison/Balzsay for the right to fight Ward is the way to go. That would also get rid of all the stupid interim titles.
