Saul Alavarez Exposes Floyd Mayweather Glass Chin, New King is Crowned

What? He's been tagged hard before and recovered fast. Mosley tagged him twice and Floyd still didn't go down.
Canelo may KO him but he does not have a glass chin. 17 years of proof.

There is nothing we don't know about Floyd by now. Canelo is the one with plenty of ?????

 

Exactly. Floyd has been hit hard on the chin exactly two times. Once, he got knocked down by Zab Judah in round 2. The second time, he was almost knocked down by Shane Mosley in round 2.

For all we know, FLoyd might actually have a glass jaw. But since no one ever manages to hit it, we just don't know what it's made of.

I have been saying this for years. However, I think people take it as an attack on Floyd, it isn't. If Mayweather has a glass chin then that speaks volumes about his defensive abilities (which we already know may be the best boxing has ever seen). Truth be told, we haven't seen him walk through big punches. Just the opposite, the few big punches that have landed clean clearly rocked Mayweather.

This fight is all about Floyd VS someone that might do something respectable against him or not.

How heavily this fight has been promoted sorta gives one the idea that Showtime has put alot of $$$ into making this fight happen. I for one highly doubt that this fight is going to be very profitable for Showtime since Saul simply isn't that big a star.

So that leaves the question, given that Floyd gets by Saul tonight.... who is he going to fight next? Surely he isn't going to be receiving the same kind of $$$ from Showtime that he has until now for facing the fighters he wants to fight.

My be would be that the Manny Pacqiou VS Floyd Mayweather fight finally takes place or maybe a Cotto rematch. If not then expect Mayweathers fights to be of a whole lot lower profile than they have been lately or maybe even a Mayweather retirement.
