You can see the real step-ups coming around the 35 fight mark now, the crazy thing is the kids age with the record he has already. I like the way they are bringing him on because you can still see he needs a little work to be the finished article.

I'd like to see him in with Foreman or maybe even Mora next if he can still make weight.

both baldomir and ndou are a shell of what they were. nice wins for him but a far cry from top competition.

i think he proved he can beat the b level fighters, its time to step it up a little, he's had enough fights, give him one or two more fights and match him up with berto or someone.

why would you want him to go in there prematurely?

this kid has the skills to become great. He just needs more time and I can see him taking the throne from either pac or pbf. Actually both of them in about 2 years time.

    premature?

he has proved he's too good for the b level fighters

    like eddie **** said

If you continue to match a Hot Young Prospect against Soft Opponents, the only thing that will improve is the fighters record. and NOT the Fighter.

Good fight for Alvarez. GBP is actualy bringing up this fighter the right way. Hope he becomes a new face of boxing. Shouldn't rush him.

Personally i'd like to see Alvarez in with someone under the age of 80000 but that's just me.

Ideally he should take on Chavez Jr.. I think it would be an entertaining bout and it would draw a ****ton of attention in Mexico and the US. That fight could probably be on PPV.

Eddy Reynoso and Chololo Larios are in his corner as his trainers. Larios was added after the Cotto scare. Eddy also has been training Tomoki Kameda for the last 4 years.

He is a decent trainer that emphasizes technique and defense over pressure.
