First time ive seen him fight and was very impressed. For a 19 year old i thought he did an excellent, very professional job and was very, very good. Definatley one for the future. I thought the overall card was great last night. On a side note he is the oddest looking Mexican ive ever seen.
This fight was design for him to get cofidence and also to look good and put his name out there. It all work, but mark my words this kid would not be able to do what he did to Cotto to other guys his weight. Looking at him is not first time he fights over the 147 limit as well. He's done it several times, meaning pretty soon within a year or two he would perhaps move to 154. Honestly in this fight I have more questions about this kid than anything else.
Angulo has way less fights and would ko Alvarez, might not have his skills but he would knockout Alvarez.
Alvarez will be a middleweight before too long and if he's rocked by a C level blown up light weight how do you think he's gonna react when he gets tagged by a poweful middleweight? it'll happen seeing as the guy leaves himself wide open.
he's also a 27yr old man with tons of amateur experience...... even though it hurts, it's gonna be crazy having canelo, perro and chavez jr all in the same weight class pretty soon :shock::shock:
That aint sayin much. Alvarez has bust written all over him. Ppl are too desperate for prospects nowadays, that they'll hype any mediocre talent.
Great learning experience for Canelo, he showed things I hadn't seen in some of his other fights. My wife ruined the fight for me though, when she starting crying cause the ref did not stop the fight soon enough.
Addie...you know what I think glad you finally saw the light Good call on his resume though on your part:good
I was quite amazed how big Alvarez looks, he looked massive. I like the way he counters with power and precision.
