jmm has been on televisa mexican channels stating that he is not championship material and roach wants his fighter vanes against him. jmm has never in his career talked down another fighter. ever.

the odds are out here in mexico. rhodes is a +550 and canelo is -800. these are roughly the same odds as were posted agains hatton...a career welterweight with no power. granted, this fight is taking place in guadalajara at 6k altitude but if rhodes can clip him early ala cotto, canelo may not make it out.

rhodes is a confirmed jmw. i don't believe that canelo has improved at all since the cotto fight. he is still slow, has not shown an increase in punching power and his defense has not improved.

if this fight were on neutral ground, rhodes would be a great underdog.

All the british guys taking up Rhodes are embarrassing themselves, I don't like calling a fighter a "can" given how brutal boxing is but if there is anyone I can call a can it's someone who has lost to G. Lockett. I'm going to look up the betting odds on this fight. Never mind, just saw odds posted in the post above. 8 to win 1 isn't worth it, but I'm surprised Rhodes is such an underdog with so many "supporters" this can has. Apparently not putting their money where there mouth is.

opening lines are determined by oddsmakers not betting public. the shifts in line afterwards are determined by public betting. some money has gone in on rhodes shifting the line to +550 to +525.
