Dick Tiger would have outclassed Canelo as well. Lets not even mention King Carlos lol.

Totally agree, Canelo ain't stopping Emile and it's Canelo who fades like a cheap shirt in hot water. Emile by TKO

Here is a forgotten WW Champ Griffith non-title bout taking on a full-fledged MW Jose Gonzalez (26-7-1) in his home country of PR.

Probably similar type of fight if Griffith fought Canelo.

1963-10-05 : Emile Griffith 151½ lbs beat Jose Gonzalez 157½ lbs by MD in round 10 of 10
"Welterweight champion Emile Griffith was back in New York today with louder demands for a shot at the middleweight crown because of Saturday night's victory in Puerto Rico over middleweight contender Jose Gonzalez. Griffith's 147 pound crown was not at stake against contender Jose of the 160 pound division. Griffith's speed and his hooking attack to body and head weakened rugged Gonzalez so that he reportedly slowed down to a walk in the closing three rounds. There were no knockdowns or cuts." -United Press International

    • "There are two main reasons why I should get a title fight with Dick Tiger. First, I've already beaten at least four middleweights, and second, a battle of champions between Tiger and me would draw more money than any fight except Sonny Liston and Cassius Clay." -Emile Griffith
