Thompson is walking through Alvarez's jab, leaning down and squeezing his gloves together under his chin, bringing them up to catch jabs and then lowering them into position to fire on the body again.

Alvarez is hopping in and hooking the body, then prancing out and circling Thompson warily. Straight rights on the belt line by Thompson. Alvarez is hooking into Thompson's rib cage and pushing down on the back of his head with the right glove. Alvarez backs out and paws his left jab, skidding it off the pinky area of Thompson's gloves as they rise up in front of his face. Thompson is feinting and then sticking a jab on the body. Right hand counter by Alvarez, flush on the face. Thompson is ducking as Alvarez flops in with a right hand behind a weak double jab. Alvarez bounces the back halves of each foot off the canvas as he circles, getting the blood flowing. Jab by Alvarez, blocked.
