64% power shots that's very high!! Even his trainer wanted to stop it.

Thats on the trainer though, not this **** from Weeks.
As a ref there was nothing absolutely nothing there for him to stop that fight. Angulo never dropped his hands down and already had brought his head back down when Tony jumped it.

Just a terrible ref stoppage in the us.

If boxing is all about "he wasn't going to win" etc then let's forget 12 round fights and just finish at 6th

How many fights have been own In The final round even after a schooling or something

Agree with all of these opinions.

Nasty uppercut by Canelo to finish it. Angulo more than likely would've endured 2.5 more rounds of similarly brutal punishment for no reason other than some misguided, vainglorious sense of honor.

Perhaps not the best particular moment to stop the fight, but waiting around for a more "acceptable" moment would've been irresponsible by the referee, who is tasked with protecting the fighters from taking unnecessary punishment, which Weeks did.

Some guys won't be content until the fighter ends up taking a coma inducing punishment. Quite worrying actually.

Yeah using the "wasn't going to win" then the other fights on the card should have been stopped as well..

will Canelo be able to make 154 in the future? guess this will encourage the Lara fight maybe at a catch weight of 157? what are Canelos options I refuse to pay for this kind of thing

WTF, people think this was a bad stoppage? Angulo was getting pummelled in every round with Canelo slipping and playing with him. Canelo was landing at will, Angulo was already beaten the **** up. It could've been stopped sooner and it was getting stopped by Hunter in that round regardless.

Good stoppage, no doubt whatsoever who the superior fighter was tonight. I bet on Angulo, but I'm glad the ref saved him from more damage.

Angulo was taking big shots, but nothing that would make the fight to being stop. I mean, he didn't got rock at any point.
