This fight is obviously a mismatch... in which round does Alvarez finish Cotto.

6th round KO, and he'd take out his brother before the 10th if they ever met.

Golden Boy launches the Canelo rocket waaaaaaaay too early. I posted just a year ago that I see big potential in Alvarez, potential not yet brought out, and he needs I'd say 2 more years of developing and fine-tuning ahead before he's ready for the top. This fight is a good test at the stage Canelo is at, braver than you'd think given Alvarez is still a teenager, but the reason I'm worried is this being the main support for the biggest PPV attraction this year, and if Canelo wins, I fear Golden Boy will throw him into the welterweight mix in 2-3 fight when I feel he needs a LOT more improvement and seasoning. The pressure is enormous on GBP and Canelo is already selling out arenas, but that's NOT an indication he's ready for the top dudes.

I voted for round 5 and that is generous to Cotto.

Well, I think is a good fight. Jose was away from boxing sometime and now is back. This fight will give him the opportunity to show if he is taking boxing seriously. If he is not, he will be send to permanent retirement. I will be happy either way

    Their records are very interesting:
    Alvarez: 31(23)-0-1
    Cotto: 31(23)-1-1

THis is a blowout, wasnt Cotto a jL not long ago and got beat up by Juan Diaz? Cotto is a small welter he fought in the olympics as a Bantam, he isnt that good i think Cotto will make Alvarez look like the next Chavez.

You have a good point. Cotto is really a JL. Last few fights have been at around 144lbs. He has good technique but his discipline is questionable at best. And he is lacking Evangelista now.

His fight against Diaz is in youtube
