Saul Alvarez vs Cotto May 1st

Is this **** serious or joking?
Canelo is way too young to fight Cotto. The fights gonna look like Cotto/Alfonzo Gomez.
Canelo has too much to learn still to fight someone like Cotto.

Forgot it was the brother we were talking about. Still think Canelo has to be ironed out and Cotto has some good experience. If the ko happens it will come late.

I'm going to be generous and say round 7.

 

So what people thinking of this boy Saul Alverez? Thought he had quite a good boxing brain for someone only 19 years old!

 

In fairness, he has had twice as many fights as most 25 year olds. His offence is lovely and fluent. Great combos, very fan friendly. He has that razzle dazzle style. His defence needs a nice bit of polishing. He showed great ring iq to hang in there when he got hurt in the first round, also, sign of a big heart and a champion. He needs more head movement, still a bit easy to hit, and a bit too content to trade punches too. But for his age he is tremendously polished. I still don't want to see him rushed.

 

he is learning. he got rocked a few times early but he should have dominated that fight. cotto looked out of place. but as he continues to develop he will mature. he has a decent future ahead of him although i am not overly impresed as of now

 

a welter fighting a c level lightweight and still didnt look good to me.. i think he's all hype right now
