    Winning scorecard by PinoyProdigy!

Yes. Absolutely a slight majority but a seemingly clear majority nonetheless scored it for Canelo.

My opinion is no better than anyone else's over the medium of the internet, and you know I love you as a poster IB, but this was a horrible day at the office for you.

    This.

My guess is that it gets forgotten and those looking to hate Alvarez for whatever reason, agenda-driven or not, will repeat the same things over and over to make him seem like an unintelligent loser of 3 of his last 4 fights.

I hate that stupid reasoning. I would rather take 10 softish punches in a round than 1 hard one, but the cumulative force of those 10 punches would almost certainly be greater than that 1 punch.

Don't listen to Max. He is boxing's biggest wanker.

I had it 115-113 to Canelo.

Can understand people querying the wider decision, but that card was - in terms of closeness to the widely accepted score of 115-113 - just as close to correct as the 113-115 score. Both had a couple of rounds going the wrong way.

They balanced each other out, which is what they're there to do. Thankfully the result wad correct.

I'm a bit surprised Lara supporters felt he deserved the decision when his output was minimal. Huge contrast compared to a guy like Floyd. Could have landed a lot more pot shots. I thought Canelo had a much more difficult fight against Trout. Lara with his backpedaling really needed to put in a bit more work to give off the impression he gave a technical boxing clinic.

A lot of those are simply Canelo haters.

This was another thought I had when I replied to IB when he said the decision (or specifically the 117-111 card) was "shitty".
If you accept 115-113 Canelo as a correct score - and most do. Then the other two judges were off - in each direction - by 2 rounds.
I don't understand why some fans seem to think this is bizarre. I've seen much greater divergent cards - and overall bad decisions - in boxing !

    close fight.

didn't have a problem if people had it a draw, 115-113 lara, or 115-113 canelo
