I think it would be a good fight, but the harder puncher wins, and that's GGG

    Golovkin by KO.

But Canelo's promoter would never agree to this fight.

This fight will never happen because Canelo would not stand a chance.

For those who say GGG is an aggressive puncher, he is an aggressive counter puncher. With his exceptional footwork and feeling of distance he is always in front of you and here is the very important distinction from a puncher: he times you instead of brawling, he sets you up. That's why you can't see him miss many punches, and overall you get a feeling he is being minimal and effective.

Canelo is more flashy, has quicker hands, but that's it, I would say. Considering all other attributes, even forget about power, still it would be GGG who has the advantage.

In the fight I would see Canelo fighting off the ropes, trying to counter GGG with combinations as he would avoid the heat while he can throw series of shots, and this will result in a slow beat down of Alvarez as GGG is no Angulo and will time very often. In case if Canelo decides to go forward to earn respect, this will be a shorter night for him. I saw this in many GGG fights where he seem not to fight effectively going backwards, and this gives an opponent a false sense of confidence to later being caught with vicious reply from GGG (probably he sets it up).

I saw the poll results and they are fine. Some people get impressed with flashiness, whatever. If you were to any major Russian boxing forum, you would see the poll result as 49/51 in favor of Canelo with like 1000 respondents. Surprisingly, majority of Russian boxing fans don't like GGG as he is Kazakh, and with his rise in popularity things get worse and worse, he is now being hated in Russia and Ukraine.

So would u say that since Maidana beat Broner by UD that he out boxed him?

I mean, who are these guys? Which one of them is a skillful world beater that GGG outboxed? Or were they just 3 guys with solid chins he couldn't KO? or 3 guys that were terrified and ran the whole time?

    Think about it

And I don't know why u felt the need to put "hurt" in quotations, it's not a made up term

Didn't he get KTFO in the ams too?

Golovkin didn't. It was the other way around, he Froch'ed Bute before about 7 years before Froch did.

Lucas Matthysse, Deontay Wilder and Sergey Kovalev have better KO percentages than GGG.

Still doesn't say much about his boxing skill.

My point was Wilder has no skills at all and is just power, but won a bronze. Power can take u far.

Obviously he's more skilled than Wilder, but that doesn't say much for how his boxing skills compare to Canelo

Let's not forget, I did say he'd knock Canelo out... I'm just talking boxing skill

    Sergey Kovalev - KO% 87.5

    GGG - KO% 89.66
