Alvarez hasn't shown the skill to outbox Kirkland and his defense is shaky....hmm If Kirk hasn't blown up too much between fights, this could be interesting.

I'd be a lot more hyped for this fight if I didn't see Kirkland get tooled by Molina. . .

Although Molina is a lot slicker, and more tricky than Canelo. . .

But Canelo is actually a pretty decent boxer/puncher (about 35 boxer/65 puncher). . . And he punches like a mule. . . He's also one of hte few 154 pounders who is about the same natural size as Kirkland. . They both prolly rehdyrate to around 170.

Kirkland is dangerous for anyone with a average chin, I still remember midget Cotto rocking his ass hard.

True. . . But Kirkland's chin is just as, if not more vulnerable IMO. . .

Kirkland has good punch resistnace, but a weak chin, if that makes sense. . . If he can see the punches coming, and just has his guard up, he'll walk through them all night long. . . But when he blindly comes in (which is all he knows how), and gets tagged, them legs going out!

I'd say Kirkland and Canelo both have about the same "one shot" power. .. Maybe slight edge to Canelo. . . But Canelo is a good bit above Kirkland in the "refined technique" department. . . A lot more accurate. . .

Speed they are about the same, maybe slight edge to Canelo.

Kirkland does have a HUGE edge in stamina department. . . Canelo has poor stamina.

This is supposedly as good as done if Canelo wins in two weeks. PPV as well I believe.

This fight would have sold pretty decent on PPV if they each fought maybe one more fight, and won. . . But Kirkland's performance against Molina might hurt it . . . Or it could help it, maybe, becaue Canelo fans are now more certain they'll get to see their guy KO Kirkland. . . I think it could do 400kish... To be honest, it really is a fight worthy of PPV as well. . . At least a lot more worthy than most of these mismatches we see on PPV.

Mexicans want revenge on Kirkland after he ruined Angulo, and that dude was a straight KILLAH!

interesting because Chavez Jr/Sergio was supposedly targeted for 9/16, on PPV too. I doubt it's going to happen, but there can't be 2 ppvs in September.

    oh and Alvarez wins this.

Yea man, not sure what to expect re PPV buys. Hope they load up the undercard with names like Broner, Maidana, etc and it should do pretty well.
