Right hook landss on Jhonny. Jhonny lands nice right. Jhonny flurries and ponce lands a hard left to the body. Jab left from POnce. Left to the body of Jhonny. Hard left again to body of Ponce. Another headbutt and Jhonny has a huge cut over his right eye.

    The doctor is in the ring to check the cut.
    Jhonny tells the doc he can not see and the fight has been called on a foul.

Gonzalez bounces on his toes, lifting and dropping his guard. Right set-up jab and a big wild left hand over the top by Ponce De Leon, missing and causing a NASTY headbutt. Gonzalez is cut. Bayless gives him time to recover in the corner. The physician comes to inspect.

    Showtime was ignoring all the body work Ponce was doing from the opening, which is why Jhonny had nothing left late and was falling off the tracks hard. Ponce was going to KO him but he should be ahead on the cards.

    Gonzalez looked very weak and lethargic tonight. His punches weren't nearly as explosive as normal. I think he could have been weight drained.

    Good performance from Ponce, though.
