Alvarez would send Duddy to the hospital.... early!

I HONESTLY believe that even a shot ass Bumlomir would beat Duddy. Why not? A shot ass Campas beat him, and was robbed.

Duddy is terrible. He'll be fodder for a guy like David Lemeuix soon. Lemeuix would also knock him out early.

I dont know man, i disagree.

The duddy that JR fought would have beat the living crap ouf of Baldomir. imo.

Baldomir, especially at this stage, is not more dangerous then Duddy. Not in the slightest. Not to mention Duddy would beat the crap out of Baldomir himself at this stage of their careers.

Mentioning Baldomirs wins against Judah is pretty pointless, that is his claim to fame, and its going on 5 years since its happened, he has lost every major fight since 2006 not suprisingly. Not to mention the guy was approaching 40 years old.

Sorry, just because Baldomir beat Judah half a decade ago doesnt mean that in 2010 hes a more dangerous opponent then a middleweight Duddy.

Im not saying Baldo doesnt rank higher in boxing all time, all things considered, then Duddy, of course he does, without question. That has nothing to do with what im saying though. Im saying as far as the here and now goes, a little, old Baldomir whos at the end of his road completely, is not more dangerous then a middleweight Duddy. Not to mention if they fought eachother, Duddy would beat the crap out of Baldomir himself at this stage.

If Álvarez is 1/10th as good as they say he is (he seems to be), he KO's Chávez in less than 5 rounds.

You guys are crazy  Baldomir would beat Duddy? riiiight.... the same Baldo whos only two wins in like 5 years are against guys with records like 15-4 and 20-15 or some crap... and one of them he had to get an MD against?

You guys are out of touch with how past it Baldo is, the man will be 40 here soon not to mention. But beef him up all you want i guess for Alvarez's sake, Baldomir would get beat down by Duddy and maybe even stopped late..... and theres no way Saul is sending Duddy packing anywhere early. If he stops Duddy it will come late in the fight.

And Chavez would torture, and i mean... torture, Baldomir. At this stage.

ssshhhhh...... youre talking too much sense.

Not to mention Baldomir is 40, way smaller, and has piled on the punishment to further his closure in boxing the last 5 years with a wide open style.

Nah.... he beat Judah half a decade ago so he would beat the **** out of Duddy at middleweight :patsch

Ray, youre insanely stuck in the past.

Talking about what a fighter did in their heyday has no basis when talking their current condition. None.... for better or worse.

I garuntee you Baldo wouldnt be eating those same punches from Judah (or even the ones from Gatti for that matter) and walking through them so happily if it happened today.

There comes a time for every fighter when they are so far past it (usually, when they are almost 40 years old... like Baldo) that citing their earlier accomplishments and feats means practically nothing.

This isnt who did what 5 years ago, or who ranks higher all time, this is who, in 2010, is a more dangerous opponent.

JR would beat the tar out of Baldomir in 2010, and Duddy would beat him too. In fact, Baldomir probably wont win (like he hasnt since 2006) another meaningful fight for the rest of his career, and i expect to see him get stopped again next time he steps up. The man is done.

And everyone but, i guess saul fans.... know this. There is a reason he was brought in for Alvarez. (dont get me wrong, it was a good choice of opponent as Saul has all the time in the world and for all intents and purposes Baldomir is the perfect opponent for an up and comer, durable enough to get in rounds, while not doing anything good enough to really trouble a real talent at this stage)

What has Duddy done to convince you he was the dangerous opponent for Chavez Jr? What has Duddy done to prove he'll beat the crap out of Baldimor? Was it a year ago Duddy lost to freaking Billy Lyell. Come on Kirk.

    I do Ray.... I do.

I feel like im in the twilight zone, with Carlos Baldomir becoming somehow this monster scalp at age 40 and a career of face first fights in him.

Talk about how shot Campas is all day, but Baldomir is smaller then campas, just as old as campas, and is nearing the end of his road just like campas was at that time and isnt on some different stratosphere when it comes to ability eather. So pretty much put Duddy in there with a smaller, just as old with a worse defence campas at the time.

Campas is 5'10, or 5'11'', and can fight solidly at middleweight.
Baldomir is what.... 5'7'' ? And has never even made the 160 mark, has fought THREE times in the last THREE YEARS, and one of a labored MD against a 15-4 fighter (showing how far Baldo has slipped, not to mention perez went on to lose a UD in the fight right after baldo to a 9-4 fighter), I repeat.... Baldomir, was held to an MD three years ago by Perez who was 15-4 at the time. I know every fighter have off days and bad style matchups, but we have to look at reality.

Dude.... Baldo is done, and you want me to think he would beat a middleweight duddy or a young, in shape JR? Not happening man. Not IMO. People are in denial about how far gone Baldo is (and how solid JR is and can be).... and how irrelevent he is.

Look man, Baldomir is a decent win for a young prospect like Alvarez, no doubt.... but you guys are in the twilight zone with it, and the complete nuthugging that is going on for Saul around here, while in the same sentances calling JR a bum (not you maybe but many) is bizarre, simply bizarre lol.

Baldomir, at this stage.... given his age, wear, size, and attributes nowdays, is not a more dangerous fight then what Duddy was for JR, given Duddys power.

If Baldo goes on to beat someone of note in his upcoming fights, i will be the first to admitt i was wrong, and id be happy for him too, but obviously i dont see that happening, in fact, i see him losing again soon and probably not to a world class operator. No shame in that, the man is almost 40 and if he had any sense would retire after he has a farewell fight.

Duddy took such a beating against JR that i doubt he will ever matter again, and he was never all that to begin with, he was a decent workhorse and i expect him if he doesnt retire to become a journeyman / gatekeeper in due time.

But just IMO, you are not seeing the sizes here, or the context in which these fights were held. You see the name Baldomir and think of the guy who beat Judah and Gatti, and you see the name Duddy and you think of the guy that struggled with Campas and Eastman. It doesnt work like that.... not IMO at least.

So we will have to agree to disagree, the good thing Ray is that we will see over time. JR could go on to lose to Gomez or some gatekeeper, or maybe they fight within the next year and Saul abuses him like everyone keeps saying, and I will be the first to admit i was completely wrong, believe me. (though my prediction that JR can trouble Saul is only valid as long as JR is with Roach and Ariza, and for the next year, as Saul grows, gets stronger and improves i obviously think he could very well become what everyone else already thinks he is)

    Just IMO

    Your a ****ing hater....

The only reason you like JR so much is because no one gives him credit for beating Duddy thats all he has really done to change your mind, you use to be hating on him then he does one thing and you can't stop sucking his balls.

Yet Alvarez impresses you by taking cotto, and you want him to fight Cotto again to learn more....

Then you **** on Alvarez performace saying Baldo was past it and not at his all... but yet I quote you saying Duddy was not at his all either but JR gets more credit for going UD and Alvarez gets no credit for KTFO Baldomir someone known as having a Granite chin...

Whatever man your just full of **** and you change your mind constantly like a bandwagoner adn then later change your mind.... and admit your wrong... blah bah smokescreens to you now knowing anything and just talking.
