Canelo on points, he has more skill then Chavez Jr. plus I feel he's almost as strong, has the same amount of punching power, and is definitely faster :good

Say anyone here heard who won the 100K knock out bonus yet :think

I'm hoping Santa Cruz gets it, for making the ****** quit on his stool :happy

    cintron rhodes mosely gomez

guys who have fought at 154 or higher before

so your hate blinds you while rhodes has been the only legit top 10 LMW, canelo has only been at 154 for about 1-2 years and is coming into his own as a very good fighter.

Time will tell if he can be great, but he is currently on a great path.

winner vs a loser? im not interested even though it does interest me. Martinez vs Canelo After Cotto Vs Canelo Or Cotto Vs Martinez.

Man did canelo look unstoppable like he should look but still just that was rediculously stupid. Josesito should have never taken that fight, ive never felt so bad for a fighter who's in the hurt business.

Chavez Jr., having the chin that he has and the the power to bang like he did with Sergio in the 12 round IMO will be able to bang with Canelo and hurt him. So I think Chavez Jr will beat Canelo.

This match up is no longer fair. Chavez is just too big. It just look like Chavez overpower his opponents on strength and size. How about Palvik vs Chavez?

You watch Roach will be fired soon, commonsense is finally starting to sink in about Freddy. He only knows how to train Manny style, so if you don't have all of Manny's physical gifts, he just isn't gonna do much for you. Look at how in every fight he is cornering a big name fighter, when they get in trouble nobody even bothers listening to Freddy the ****ing trainer of the year HOF trainer freddy! And nobody listens to him, or gets his advice to fix the situation, when their in trouble lol. The Freddy Roach hype train has all but come off the tracks after this latest schooling, and soon he will only have Manny left.

I wasn't paying close attention in between rounds, but I seem to recall Freddie saying the right things. Jr just didn't react.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he fired Roach either, and said as much to those whom I watched with during the fight.

Oh, this isn't based strictly on tonight's results as a knee-jerk reaction at all. The Canelo vs. JCC Jr. debate has raged for the past several years since they began gaining attention coming up the pro ranks.

"Which one is truly legit, and which is all hype?"

It's also pretty much been considered a given all along that they'd eventually have a huge showdown that would incite a Mexican boxing fan civil war. :yep

The fact that both happened to appear in headlining matches on competing big cards on the same night just made it an obvious debate to revisit.

Personally, I've always thought Canelo was the better p4p fighter and would win h2h at whatever weight limit they ultimately wind up meeting under.

Tonight's results just sort of corroborate that. :D

Canelo wins. More of a complete fighter. Jr needs more skill sets.:bbb

people in this forum get carried away from what happens the night of the fight. We saw Junior today fighting a top p4p and getting beat. We saw Canelo fighting a bloated jr welter and winning.
Today i have way much more respect for Junior-losing-than for Canelo winning.
