I'd still take Johnson but more conservatively than before. Canelo has the style to really bother Johnson in stretches but he doesn't have the output or power to truly hold him off, imo. He does have the skills to make Pops look absolutely foolish at times, and Nelo's clean, explosive punches would look great. I think even in rounds where Nelo is on fire, he'd probably still lose the round just because he likes to take long portions of them off. You just can't do that against Pops.

Pops too big, too strong, hits too hard.

I think Canelo’s chin is for real and he’s got the skills to survive, trying to hunt and peck his way to a points win while avoiding exchanges, but no way over 15 (or even 12) that he pulls it off against a full-blown legit light heavy puncher like Marvin.

I don't think you knew who Johnson even was or you would not say that. Johnson by late round KO in a tough fight.

Canelo likes to fight in spurts he hasn't got the output to deal with a whirling dervish like Johnson who's bigger and stronger.

I fail to see what Canelo could do better than someone like Galindez who was a cagey skillful counter puncher like Canelo except Galindez was a better Light Heavyweight than Canelo and he still got beaten up.

    Johnson by TKO.
