Cotto was at least one comfortably apart. $ makes things happen.

The kid has 0 amatuer experience, he's 20 and being brought along smartly.

A regular fighter that's 34-0 is usually fighting for/defending world titles, but the kid is 20, let him turn into a monster, it will be entersting to see who will try be the first to stop him.

Hatton is not going to fight Alvarez, doesnt make any sense. With his brother behind him Matthew can find a world title shot with limited risk. Look for a european fighter , with a half decent record next.

I see this very similar to Alvarez vs Jose Cotto.

Ya money can make things happen but should we want to see this carp. If the kid truely is the second coming let him fight guys his own size.

Personally I think the kid's a little chinny. We'll see what he's able to develop into.

I agree with fighting guys his own size, but he's getting in good confidence builders, and we know how important a strong mentality in boxing is.

Once he steps into the world scene officially, I expect to see him in with guys who are comfortable at the weights they're fighting at.

Alvarez said his December fight he wants to be at Welterweight.

and isn't Matt Hatton fighting at Welter right now?

**when Alvarez finally steps up to the World title level will it be as a Welterweight or Junior Middleweight?

I don't know. I don't follow boxing like I used to. But I'd imagine that if he's talking about moving down it would make sense that he plans on challenging at WW.

One of the Canadian prospects, david Lemueix, another very young fighter had a bit of a similar pattern, doing much of his fighting above 160 but is now going to challenge at 160. Perhaps trainers dont like to drain young fighters down b/c it can blunt their development or something.

    Not really sure.

If he does fight at WW it might not be for long though. He doesn't seem like the smallest LMW to begin with. It would likely be a hard cut to WW.
