Not sure if anyone else hass already reported this. Schaefer's just announced he's finalized a deal between Alvarez and Hatton for the 11th of March on HBO. It's taking place in California. I think it's a great fight for both guys. Matthew's got a real good chance to get his name out there.

    Thoughts?

Since most people think Matthew is some kind of C-level or ******ed version of Ricky Fatton, this match-up won't get much credit, but IMO Hatton will be competitive and I see this going the distance. It's just the right moment for both, Matton is on his career-best run and Alvarez is looking for one last lower level contender before participating in an elimination type of fight. I thought Senchenko would've been too early so I'm down for this one.

Good fight, I think Hatton can give Saul a good fight but I can't see him winning. Alvarez by UD.

Canelo is the real deal, break out that cinamon pop-tart!
On a serious note...I think this kid has potential but he sure ain't fighting any1 top level yet, it's too early for that stuff.

another powder-puff fight for alvarez. i'm thinking that zab would be a good test for him right now but GBP doesn't want to risk the KO.

eventually, alvarez has to step up. for some reason, i think GBP already knows he doesn't have a chin.

Whens the last time we had a 20 year old that looked to composed and fine tuned?

The kid fights like a veteran already. It is scary what kind of future this kid could have if at 20 he is already 35-0-1 and fighting like a legend.

I know Pac did not fight like that at 20. Did PBF? I know Hopkins also didnt. Did DLH?

Give the kid time. Matthew Hatton's a good opponent. He'll prove to be very resistant, and he's good for Saul's development.

Ha let me guess because he got rocked by a good punch he doesnt have a good chin? He fought out of that and only made people bigger fans. He is the definition of a throwback fighter. If you hit me i will hit you harder..

Please Judah got a gift against a 140 Matthysse. Canelo is a huge WW who wont be able to make the weight for more than a year. He sparks Judah out fast.

The kid is a serious talent, he is young so feeding him this type of comp for now isn't bad imo...Hatton, tho I dnt care for him much, isn't a slouch he will give Saul something to think about in there BUT not trouble him too much.

    Saul UD (maybe late TKO)
