No reason for this to be the main attraction, this is a borderline undercard/untelevised fight

    Round 3

Alvarez double jabs and then converts it into a quick hook on the fly. Alvarez is comfortable just standing in front of Hatton and blocking most of his shots (but getting his head turned by an occasional sneaky jab) and picking his power shots. Alvarez lands a very stiff jab as Hatton is circling left and hooking and Hatton's whole body shudders with the impact. Alvarez throws a combo and Hatton pushes forward with his forearms trying to maul Alvarez into the ropes and smother him. They are again trading hooks. HARD right by Alvarez knocks Hatton into the ropes, but he bounces off at an angle to return to the center of the ring and comes right back at Alvarez fighting hard. Hatton is tying up and pushing Alvarez to the ropes. 1-2 by Alvarez is blocked but cracks loudly against Hatton's arms. Hard 1-2-1-2 combo storming forward by Hatton, but Alvarez blocks most of it. Again Hatton surges with the same combo but with the same result. Alvarez lands a quick 1-2 just before the bell.

    30-27

Yalll under estimating hatton, you don't get that record by now knowing how to box...

Alvarez needs to slowly dismantle hatton the boxer.

hatton boxing ok,i say he had round 3,landed more and threw more.

already hatton has exposed how alverez is not special,he has power, but nothing else really.

Hatton did reasonably well in the 3rd. He needs to put more pressure on Canelo

This is a promotion. An HBO/Golden Boy prospect knocking out a recognizable name sets all the interested parties up for 2011.

No, you get that record by fighting a lot of guys well below Alvarez's level.
