I was thinking that it was an early stoppage by the ref, but given the post-fight interview, and particularly Ryan's response to the question "Is this the end of the line for Ryan Rhodes?"

So maybe the stoppage was justified.

Alvarez is a joke. he can't beat anyone top class. He is took weak on defense. He can not adjust as the fight is in progresses, he looks for the one punch too much because he thinks he is a 1 punch KO artist when he isn't.

 

dude needs to learn english to a manny pac level and then get some nice KO's and he'll be a star in this celebrity obsessed America. I still hope for nothing but the best for him.

 

canelo looks tremendous for a 20yo. his defence has improved quite a bit. hes coming along very well and i dont see anyone beating him at 154 in another year or 2. i think his popularity gets him a floyd or pac fight end of next year or start of 2013.
