Mosley got the best of him inside and out. In the final two rounds canelo laid back on the ropes and did nothing for 2 minutes at a time. Wouldnt be shocked if gail von oy or pierre benoist were the judges of that fight.
Saul is an exciting boxer to watch in my opinion. I have watched a few of his fights. He is young (still has a lot to learn) a big ww, aggressive. Outside the top 10 he would most likely be a favorite. He is definately not ready to step in with Pac Man or Mayweather they will make him look really bad but keep watching Saul he shouldn´t dissappoint. In his last fight his opponent was getting in his head. He re-focused around the 6th but to me it showed his inexperience. IMHO I would to see him set up his power shots with a nice jab first because he needs to develop and use that jab especially with his power and reach advantage. Throwing his hooks and uppercuts without jabbing first leaves him open to some counters. I would like to see him develop a short hook off the jab like Wladimar does. Not many fighter can generate that power off that short hook but Saul might be able to.
That's a good fight, for both the fighters and the public. If Gomez wins he's just beaten one of the best prospects in the world and if Canelo wins he has beaten a world class gatekeeper and has defintly stepped up. Having said that i see Saul's career go similar to Chaves sr in the way they are brought up, as Saul had little to no amateur background his early pro career has served as his amateur career as of such so i think around the 40-45 fight mark he will challenge for a title.
