Doesn't compare at all. Different time in boxing, more belts, easier to lay claim. Alvarez is barely a top contender at 154, belt or not.

He beat Kelson Pinto at 140 and either Oktay Urkal at 147 or Quitnana.

And for the people giving Alvarez **** for winning the title the other night can **** off. The fight wasnt originally made as a world title fight. That only happened about 2 weeks before.

 

WHy are you tryin to **** on Alvarez for that, wasn't his doing. I mean, aside from the obvious, his being Mexican. Let me guess, if you were in his shoes, you'd have said NO to the title being there right?

 

Yeah but both both titles were vacant when he won them.

 

This "youngest to wina title" is pretty much buill**** now. How can it compare when today, we have WAAY more titles her division? It would be like making all buckets in the NBA worth three points, then someone many years later bragging they scored more points then Jordan.

No one is claiming he got a title legitimately.

This fight was going to be at 147 until WBC and Canelo's $$$ hungry promoters ****ed it all up.... Anyways Who the **** would say no when being offered a title specially a young prospect that's hungry. Now lets see what he does with this title, I assure you he ain't gonna be vacating like other BS title winners but it's not the fighter fault blame the $$$ hungry promoter. All in due time....... He can't please everyone in one day, all in due time.
