One of my favorite young mexican prospects, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, 18, 24-0-17KO 1D, won again with another spectacular 1st round KO over Antonio Fitch, who was 12-1-10KO at the time. In his fight before this one, he KO Raul Pinzon, 16-1-15KO in the 1st round as well. This kid just gets better and better and he is only 18 years old! Catch his win on You____. :good

Just saw a couple of his videos. Very interesting guy. Has a future if they take care of him. A few interesting points. At 18 y/o he is 5'9" and is fighting at 147. That tells me he will be fighting at 154 before he turns 25.(I might be wrong) Big guys there. Needs to keep working on his defense and boxing skills. Guys at 154 can take his punches. Its funny the way he got a 1rnd KO against a guy with 12-1 but got a SD in 10 rounds against a guy with 4-17. Bad night or didn't trained very hard??? Also, its funny, he is Mexican but looks Irish.

Hes good...saw him a few times ... goods speed , decent power in both hands ,hes young(18) and have time to improve...But he should work mostly on his defence...

Oh yes the 2 guys that fought all the top WW during their stay there.
And dont say PW was being avoided. Margo was avoided for years but he stuck around till he got his shot and made the best of it.
PBF can not be considered a top WW. U gotta face the best to be the best

Seen Alvarez a few times now. He has pop and throws excellent punches, but don't expect him to be in with many slick and or mobile targets yet. Larry Mosley had the kid looking pretty confused at points, and put bluntly, Larry Mosley is garbage. But Alvarez looked very bothered dealing with feints and having to cut off the ring.
